ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
The #SOMOSTODOSAMAZÔNIA (We are all the Amazon) campaign was created to help family farmers as well as destitute families living in cities of the Amazon during this pandemic. While some sell less due to the need to meet social isolation measures, destitute families in cities are vulnerable.
The funds raised will be used entirely to buy fresh produce from the field, directly from those who produce it, and will be distributed in agro-ecological baskets, which will also include masks and hygiene and cleaning products. With this campaign, we are aiming to generate income in rural areas and feed those who need it most in urban areas.

IMPORTANT IS YOUR HELP
The #SOMOSTODOSAMAZÔNIA (We are all the Amazon) campaign wants to help families in the Amazon who are in a situation of social vulnerability. We will operate in six municipalities in the Brazilian Amazon, where IPAM has been operating for many years, supporting the sustainable growth of family farming.
The income of family farmers decreased with the pandemic, since usual place of sale, such as farmers’ markets, suffered restrictions. Bringing them closer to those who need them most in cities is an example of what IPAM has been doing over the past 25 years of operation, which we celebrate now in 2020.
Our operations have begun as an initiative of a group of scientists and visionaries who sought solutions to the problems of those who live in the Amazon, depend on the Amazon and work for the Amazon, in order to reconcile development with preservation. In this moment of great need, IPAM reaffirms the connection with its origins, building solutions and caring for those in need – and, in this unique moment, with your help.
Another of IPAM’s principles, operational-financial responsibility, is also present in the #SOMOSTODOSAMAZÔNIA (We are all the Amazon) campaign. The PicPay account will be dedicated exclusively for this purpose during the duration of the campaign. At the end of the campaign, all information will be made available on the IPAM website (ipam.org.br) after being audited. Want to learn more? Send an email to email@example.com.
